The 190,000-square-foot museum traces the history of the United States Infantry. It includes a 3D IMAX Theatre, full-service restaurant, large gift store, classroom and event space and six era galleries. There also are galleries honoring Soldiers’ family members, the Officer Candidate School, Rangers and the training completed at Fort Benning. Outside the museum is Heritage Walk, a walkway lined with commemorative granite pavers which leads to a five-acre parade field and stadium seating for 2,1000 for Infantry School graduations. World War II Street is an authentically recreated complex of seven buildings from the 1940s. Tours are available and times are posted in the lobby.
